Student Ratings Revision of the BYU student-rating form began in the mid-'90s with recommendations from the campus self-study that BYU develop the ability to rate all courses every semester. Online student ratings were considered a possible way to provide this option. A campus committee, consisting of faculty, students, and administrators, began development of the new rating form. Additional efforts built on the work of this committee, including a number of campus pilots and review of literature on teaching, learning, and student-ratings. Feedback was gathered from BYU students, faculty, and administrators. After
considerable research and effort by many at BYU, the online student rating system
was ready for campus-wide implementation beginning Fall Semester 2002. For further
